Tyvek AsuronTM, which improves the existing Integrity Tyvek thickness and unevenness, provides a higher level of protection for a wide range of medical devices. The current Tyvek has four grades, namely Tyvek 2FS, 1059B, 1078B and Asuron, which are 56.0g/m2, 64.4g/m2, 74.6g/m2 and 68.0g/m2, respectively. Tyvek is used in MDSP mainly because of its good water resistance, air permeability and excellent physical and mechanical properties such as tensile, tear and puncture resistance, and it is widely adapted to the existing conventional sterilization methods, including Ethylene oxide (EO), high pressure steam, electron beam, gamma ray and X-ray special printing, except for high temperature steam sterilization under special conditions.
